Spring is in full bloom, which means your closet probably is, too! ;) Here are some quick tips on how to style a denim jacket – the perfect cherry on the top for a long spring maxi dress or even black jeans. From our fashion contributor Carolyn:
Denim jackets are among my top favorite classics, and I’m starting to wonder why I don’t wear them more often!
If you’re like me, you have demin jackets but don’t wear them as much as you could. If that sounds like you, I put together five outfits to help you break out your denim jackets this season.
1. Denim jacket styled with floral maxi dress and statement necklace
A jean jacket looks great with a floral print! They balance each other out so well. I’ve definitely been wearing a bit more color this season. Feel free to join me and throw on a gigantic colorful necklace.
2. A casual look with black jeans and stripes
No, this combo isn’t anything new, but it’s a favorite. By pairing it with sneakers and ripped jeans, you can have a fun and casual Saturday look.
3. With animal print and fun accessories
Not only does a jean jacket look great with a floral print, but it also goes with an animal print for the same reason. It balances out the crazy pattern and adds some structure.

A jean jacket with a maxi dress gives that whole “outdoor picnic” feel that I just love.
5. Casual white jeans and graphic tee with jean jacket
You see a lot of all black with a jean jacket, but why not all white? A graphic tee can add some interest to your outfit and it looks fabulous if you accessorize with gold.
