Hi there! my name is grace (gracie, gracie girl, g.g.), and i am a fifteen-year-old photographer and aspiring stage actress living deep in the heart of texas. i love deep, long, heart-to-heart conversations at two o’clock in the morning and dancing like a clown in the kitchen and singing silly veggie tales songs and enjoying mint chocolate chip ice cream by the pool. Jesus is my Savior, my first love, and i long to serve him and praise him in everything i say and do.
i have called myself a photographer for two years, but this passion (cliche, i know) started when i was twelve. i had discovered my mom’s old sony cybershot that we’ve had for years. i took it outside and snapped pictures of everything and i thought “ya know, this is kinda fun.” i never would have imagined i would get to where i am today with just a six-year-old digital camera and a growing desire to learn more about this art we call photography.
as for my photography style, i am a fairly simple person when it comes to artsy things, not because i’m a “wannabe hipster,” but because that’s just who i am by nature. simplicity is my thing. and i would say that my kind of photography is simple. i take inspiration from the hundreds of old film photos from my mom and dad’s childhood. there is something so beautifully raw about film that i can’t get enough of, and i hope that my digital work can measure up to a fraction of the emotion found in film.
