Kiley Zubke

Hi there, I’m Kiley.  The first thing anyone needs to know about me, is that I am a huge people person, and they usually find that out about me right away when they meet me.  I love meeting new people and learning to figure them out.  I love laughing.  I love being silly.  All. of. the. time.  I’m 17, a college student, and I try my best to live for adventure.  I am full of giggles – they are a MUST – and I am absolutely a fan of old movies, friendship, memory-making, food, photo-taking, parentheses, goofiness, sugar, and Jesus Christ who is my one and only Lord.  Without HIM, I would not be ME.

I began interested in photography at a super young age.  I don’t exactly remember how old I was…but I was small and my mom had just bought a Nikon D50, which was brand new at the time.  I remember the first time she ever let me even touch her camera.  We were outside one evening, and she was taking pictures of the sunset.  I asked her if I could try to do what she was doing, and so after some begging (hey, I was a pretty persistent child ;) ) she stood behind me, held my little hands up to the camera, and showed me how to work all the different buttons and to snap each picture up at the sky.  Ever since then, I have had a love for taking pictures, and today the camera my mom bought almost ten years ago is mine, and I use it almost a daily!  My favorite shoot was one that I had this summer with two of my closest friends, Anna and Gracie.  We walked around downtown and danced in tunnels underneath the train tracks and laughed and discussed our dreams for the future.  It was one of the best days I had had in a long time – we made tons of memories.

I don’t exactly have a ‘business’ in photography, though, because it’s not my main passion in life.  It’s a crazy fun hobby, as well as a side job that I do for extra money.  My real passion is to help people, and am studying to become an occupational therapist that specializes in children and young adult’s speech therapy. (Mouthful, I know!)  Right now, I’m attending a community college close to home and working at a restaurant to save money for my future life!  So…that’s about it about me!  Thanks so much for featuring me!
