Eep! I’m am so thrilled for you to meet this sweet Delight girl this happy Tuesday morning! I know her words will bless your day..
xo, Amelia
Hey, Savannah!! We’re so thrilled to have you share your heart on the blog today! Why don’t you start by telling us a little bit about yourself?
Hello there! I’m Savannah! I’m a 15 year old portrait + wedding photographer, born and raised in Virginia. Jesus is my rock and that’s how I roll. I’m an old soul, occasionally a deep thinker, always a hopeless romantic. I’m always wandering, always wondering. I want to travel more then anything. But above all, I live to glorify God with all I do + say.
I live in an old brick house in Amelia, Virginia. I’ve lived here my whole life, and have learned to love the fact that we’re 30 minutes away from anything, well sort of. ;)
What are some of your favorite sights and sounds of life?
The smell of a bookstore, 60’s TV shows, the feeling of sand between my toes as I step into the ocean, mismatched socks, and sitting in kitchen floors having late night conversations with close friends.
What three words would a friend use to describe you?
I just texted my friend and asked what she would say, and she said sweet, imaginative, and adventurous. :)
Yes, those are certainly all true! So what are your creative outlets?
I am passionately in love with photography; I adore my job with every fiber of my being. Being able to capture life’s little moments is just so amazing to me.
I just love these, Savannah!! Beautiful, beautiful work! You can follow her on her website, Facebook, and Instagram!
How has being a part of Delight encouraged you?
Delight has been SUCH a huge part of my life in the last year. I have grown so much both spiritually, and in my photography. Having all those girls willing to help me in my business, and willing to encourage me when I feel down is just huge.
What has God been teaching you?
TRUST. Being 15 in the business is frustrating sometimes. I can’t have any other jobs other then my photography, so I have to trust him to supply for all my needs.
Trust is certainly a powerful lesson! What would you say is your greatest fear?
But in reality, my greatest fear is not fully living the plan God has for my life, to be too busy running in a hundred different directions that I miss His calling.
If you were given just one more day to live, how would you spend it?
I would probably spend it with my family + dear friends, and I would tell everyone in our path about Jesus.
Thank you for sharing your heart with us, Savannah!!
