Thanksgiving is here once again. It comes around so fast every year, doesn’t it? This is seriously my favorite time of year. Hands down. The leaves are still falling from the trees and covering the ground, but there are still bits of color sprinkled along the landscapes and every where you walk, you hear a loud crunch beneath your feet; the weather is getting colder and everyone is so much more happy and excited about the festive season upon them. It’s wonderful, isn’t it?
I don’t know about you, but every single Thanksgiving, I always spend a large amount of time really thinking and pondering at how much I’ve changed over the past year and how many new things have happened, and how God has challenged me, and more than anything, I sit back and think about all the many things I am thankful for in my life. I am honestly so overwhelmed with all that God has blessed me with in this life His has so graciously blessed me with. I don’t deserve any of it, but I am truly blessed and extremely thankful. And on that note, I thought I would just post a few of the many things I am thankful for all of you this week::
I am thankful for:
-my family; oh goodness, they put up with so much from me, but they always know how to brighten my day and encourage me; and they love me for who I am. I love each and every single one of them so very much. They are all so special.
-friends who never fail to make me laugh and always point me back to Christ.
-photography, and the creative arts; I love every single bit of it and so blessed that I have a community like Delight to share my passions with.
-my new job at Chick-fil-A and all the awesome people I get to work with; and for a safe place that I can share God’s Word with others and be a shining light!
-a free country, and for all the many solders and their families who sacrifice their lives for us.
-more than anything, I am thankful for a relationship with my Heavenly Father! So thankful for His unfading love and forgiveness.
There are so many other things I could list above, but I didn’t want to bore you all today. I did want to end this post with a challenge for all of you though:: I challenge you all to really sit back and enjoy this time of year with your family and don’t take it for granted. It can all be taken away so quickly and it’s so important to enjoy the little moments and blessings He blesses us with. Also, let us remember to think of others this season that don’t have all the things that we might have and bless them. It means so much to them and I don’t know about you, but it always makes me feel good inside too. It’s a win-win situation. :)
I pray that you all have a very blessed day today and that the Lord shines through you in every way possible and that you take time to always thank Him for this life He has blessed you with. Happy Thanksgiving, sweet friends!
