Marriage.

As a girl, it’s something I always dreamed about. Walking down the aisle in a beautiful white dress with the man of my dreams waiting to say “I do!” The reality is: marriage is made up of two humans and marriage takes work. After 25 years, I can say with all honesty that marriage is the best and the most challenging part of my entire life.

Last year, we hosted the first Cultivating the Heart of a Wife workshop at the Delight House. I knew then that it would be the first of many Engaged/Newly Married workshops. As a group of women, we laughed, cried, worshipped, ate together and truly bonded. Most importantly, we learned to be better wives- TOGETHER. There is such refreshment and encouragement when women come together and share the highs and lows of marriage.

If you are in need of Godly wisdom, advice, practical tips and community- this is for you!

The Workshop

This workshop is for engaged and newly-married women (5 years or less), who desire to be the wife that God has called them to be. You will walk away with tools on how to serve your fiancé/husband well. Some of the topics we will discuss include:

Budgeting
Cooking
Sex
Loving
Serving your husband

Every topic will be applicable to your life and marriage. Along with all of this, you will gain a community of women who will support you, love you and walk through life with you. I can’t tell you enough: YOU NEED TO BE HERE.

It is so important to build a strong foundation in the first years of marriage. This workshop is truly an investment in your marriage. It is a time to grow, learn and take action. There is so much practical advice to be taken away from this workshop. This means when you get home, after the workshop high, you will be able to put what you have learned into action.
