Warm fall greetings, Delight ladies! I’m so excited to be back blogging for you all! I’m especially excited to introduce the first of (what will hopefully become) a regular feature on the Delight blog: Her Style. This section will feature readers such as yourselves who are willing to share with others their unique style and fashion-related inspirations. I’m happy to introduce our first featured girl, Kyrie Gardner! Kyrie lives in central Washington state and is a true gem of a person. She radiates joy and has some really smart budget savvy style tips! Read on:
Q: Describe your personal style in three words:
Kyrie: Country, rustic, chic.
Q: Do you have a style icon or someone who has served as source of fashion inspiration to you?
K: Not really, I don’t follow blogs on fashion or anything like that, I have just always loved picking out my own outfits and creating my own style. In my free time I spend (probably a little too much time) on Pinterest or Polyvore looking for inspiration or ideas, and then I actually create my own outfits on the Polyvore app and save them for inspiration later on.
Q: Describe your “go-to” outfit:
K: My go-to changes throughout the year, but right now it is a pair of really cute comfy jeans, a plaid flannel paired with a scarf, and sometimes depending on what I’m doing I’ll add a baseball cap to match, with knee-high brown boots (or cowboy boots!)
Q: Do you have a favorite store or website you shop at?
K: There isn’t one store that I go to for everything, but I really like Maurices. Not everything fits my taste so I have to sort through, but they have really cute tops and cardigans. However, I really just sort of pick and choose and piece together items from all over. For me, it makes it more fun! One thing I don’t like to do is pay full price so I shop bargains and sales a lot. If I find something in a store I like, I’ll sometimes wait to get it, because usually I can find the same item one the stores website for much cheaper! There are always fun ways to save money.
Q: If you could splurge on one clothing item, what would it be?
K: Since I don’t like paying full price, if I could splurge on one item it would be jeans. It is so expensive to get good quality jeans that fit right, so that is one thing I would splurge on and pay for price for if I could.
Thanks so much Kyrie for sharing with us!
