Delight House Needs

Look at how far we have come since January of 2014!!! We are 90% completed, but still need help!
Last week, I shared the vision & where we have come in two year’s time with the Delight House! I encourage you to take a few minutes to stop and read it if you haven’t yet!

Three workshops and multiple events later, we have quickly figured out that we still have some necessary, unmet needs!

Girls room:  full-length mirror, a table lamp, a floor lamp, sheets, & some built in shelving.

Kitchen: a skillet, a clock, backsplash, countertops fixed,  a pitcher, & cooling racks.

Leaders room:  mattress pad, a chair, extension cord, & printer.

Supplies: toilet paper, paper towels, kleenex, & cleaning supplies.

Bathroom: towels, hair dryer, nightlight

Outside: shovel, rake, pots, rocking chairs for porch, hose, shovel, etc.

We are in need of a carpenter or someone who is good working with wood to help fix the beautiful farmhouse table & build some shelves. We also need to have tile installed for the backsplash.  The main goal this year is to get a safe entry to the house which means a new porch and stairs to the driveway.

In 2016, we are praying and believing that we will have workshops, intensives and events on a regular basis. The reality is that taking care of two homes takes a lot of work and money! It is a lot of toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, etc.

I am so thankful and grateful for this precious little home and all God is doing. Every time I step through the door, I am still in awe of God’s provision & His faithfulness. I know that He has beautiful plans to heal hearts and bring hope and encouragement to teen girls as well as women.  The reality is that without outside support, this precious home won’t thrive.
