The supplies you’ll need:
– Jewelry chain of your choice
– A slice of agate
– Jewelry bail
– A few jump rings
– A clasp
The first thing you’ll want to do is attach your jewelry bail to the agate. Most people recommend using gel epoxy, but I used a glue called power flex. So far it seems to be holding. (Let’s hope it stays that way!) Put a bit of glue to the back of the bail, and attach it to the top of the agate. Let it dry for a few minutes, and maybe leave it alone for an hour or two for the glue to set. The first time I messed around with it, the bail came right off. Whoops! So leave it to set for an hour or two.
Next take the end of the chain and open up one of the jump rings, and slide it onto the chain. Usually these necklaces are made long enough that you can slip it over your head, so an alternative way to using a clasp, would to just attach the other end of the chain to the jump ring and be done.
After you attach both ends of your chain together (with either a clasp or just the jump ring) you’re all done!
