Jessica Lauren {Be Featured with Haley}

Hey there, I’m Jessica! I’m a big dreamer, a coffee drinker, a talker, a Christ-follower, a doer, a learner, and a photographer. Yes, I said it! I’m a photographer. It’s taken me a long time to work up to that statement, but I think it’s important not to be ashamed of what you do! For a long time people would say, “Oh, you’re a photographer?” and I’d say, “…yeah, I like to take pictures,” but I began to realize that I needed to embrace this passion of mine in order to create stunning images. It’s so important to have confidence in your work because your clients will recognize that and it will directly affect your business.

Photography is my passion and I am so blessed to be able to do what I love. That high school senior who is graduating and entering a whole new stage of life; those toothless, freckled kiddos with innocent hearts; the couple who has crazy, extravagant dreams for their future together… they all have a story, and I adore having the opportunity to savor some of those moments for others.

Some things that inspire me: spending time in God’s word (my life verse: Hosea 10:12), productive days, learning, Pinterest, heart to heart chats, adventures, sunshine, and SHOOTING! The more you shoot, the better of a photographer you will become. My parents have also been huge encouragers in my life as I build my business and constantly have new ideas/dreams/& desires.

These images are from my first ever engagement session. Couples are my favorite to shoot because they are so comfortable around each other that they can’t help but look natural and stunning in front of the camera! My prayer and dream for my business this year is to shoot my very own wedding. I’m excited to see where the Lord takes my business and so grateful for the opportunities He has given me already (many of them being through Delight)!
