Natural-looking & Affordable Make-Up
This week I will be talking about some of my favorite makeup products. I honestly don’t wear makeup that often. If I am going out or to school I might put on a little mascara but that is about it. Every once in a while though I will get the urge to do a full face of makeup. When this happens I still keep it very natural looking and a rarely ever wear eye shadow or eyeliner. Even though I don’t regularly wear makeup I still have a couple makeup items that I really, really love!
First up is my most used makeup item, mascara! This is my all time favorite mascara ever! CoverGirl’s Clump Crusher Mascara is so, so good. I really like it because it does not leave my eyelashes clumpy AT ALL. I am so incredibly picky about my eyelashes and most of the mascaras that I have tried leave me really disappointed. I have been using this one for almost 2 years and I honestly don’t think I will ever be able to find one I like more. I use the water proof version because I feel like it stays longer and I just really like the formula.
If I am breaking out or I just want a little extra coverage on my face Maybelline’s Dream Fresh BB cream is my go-to product. This hides any redness or dark spots that I may have and it just makes my face look overall more even and smooth. It does not feel heavy on my skin at all and it does not make my face look cakey. It is light coverage so it is not going to hide everything but that is what I like about it, it still looks natural on your skin. And bonus, it has SPF 30 in it to protect your skin from those pesky sun rays!
To apply my BB cream or foundation I use my Beauty Blender and I love it. If you have never seen a Beauty Blender it is a sponge that you wet with water and then use to blend your makeup into your skin. This makes my makeup look so natural and blends it so, so well. I use the press and roll method with this and I just feel like it works so much better than when I use my fingers or a brush. If you do decide to purchase a Beauty Blender I suggest cleaning it often and letting in air dry on the container it comes in, this will make it last a lot longer.
To add a little color and contour to my face I use the NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer in the color Sunny. What I love about this bronzer is that it is matte so I can contour with it and add definition to my face. I am really not a fan of shimmery bronzers so this oner is perfect for me. It is warm toned and I feel like it looks very natural on my face so I really, really like it. And the best part about this bronzer is that it is only 3 dollars, super affordable!
I never, ever used to wear blush but a couple months ago my sister did my makeup and she used the Too Faced Love Flush Blush in Love Hangover and I loved how it looked! As is my usual aim for my makeup I feel like this blush looks really natural on my skin. It is a warm toned pink that I think looks almost coral on my cheeks. It is a really beautiful color and I think in the summer it will look even better
The last product I will be talking about today is my favorite lip color! Last year for my birthday a friend of mine got me the Elf Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick in the color Pink Umbrellas. It is an absolutely gorgeous color. It is a very natural pink that is like my actual lip color just a lot better. It goes on really nice and lasts for quite awhile. If I ever want to put some sort of color on my lips this is my go-to and it is honestly really the only lip gloss I wear. There are 2 other color options for this product and it is only 2 dollars!
That is about it for my makeup favorites! I may not wear it very often but I do have a lot of fun messing around and trying different products!
