What is a Delight Big Sister?

I became a “Big Sister” in January 2015. I would like to say that it was on a whim, but honestly, it was 100% the Lord and His doing just like everything else in my life. He knew my heart and that I needed a way to be able to pour into lives and love on people. Isn’t that exactly what He created us to do? Love Him and love one another. And let me tell you all – there is nothing like loving on these girls and seeing God shape them into beautiful young ladies right before our eyes!!

Here at Delight, we aim to have at least eight Big Sisters who are consistently active in the girls’ lives. Our Big Sisters live all over the United States, but we bind together to comment on any questions that the girls post within the group, and commit to pray over the girls and whatever they might be going through. We also are starting to focus more on intentional mentoring and discipling, which we are all very excited about! Being a Big Sister is not only about about loving these girls everyday, but it’s about speaking truth into the girls’ lives and meeting them exactly where they are!

Today, we are thrilled to introduce to you all our nine Big Sisters!

We are looking for more women just like those above, who can commit to speaking truth and loving on these girls daily! So if you or someone you know meet one or more of the things listed below, we would love for you to consider being a Delight Big Sister!

• Active in social media and on Facebook a few times a day
• Has time to commit to being in the Delight group for at least 15 minutes a day
• Has a heart for ministry
• Loves pouring into young girls
• Enjoy’s the graphic arts i.e. photography, graphic design, hand letting, worship, etc.
• Most importantly – we want women who desire to disciple, love and point the girls to the truth of God’s word!!!
• Must be 22 or older

Please contact us today at delightandbe@gmail.com if you are interested!  Now is a crucial time in the girls’ lives and they need to know that they are loved, fought for, understood, and have a safe place to be real and vulnerable. We want to see them not just survive, but thrive in who the Lord has specifically, beautifully, and purposefully created them to be. We need women who can come alongside of them to help them grow in the Lord and know that they are precious and honored in His sight! (Isaiah 43:4)
