{Be Devoted} My Heart

Hey ladies! My name is Jessica, and myself and a few other girls in Delight are going to be heading up this portion of the blog called {Be Devoted}. We are so thrilled about this opportunity and excited to see where the Lord takes this! This first week, I just wanted to share part of what has been on my heart for myself and all of the Delight girls.

Colossians 2:6-7 says this:

“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.”

As Christians, it’s so important for us to be deeply rooted in Christ. God promises that life on this earth will not be easy or perfect; rather, we will struggle, be tempted, and have difficulties. Yet at the same time, He also promises to give us joy and hope in the midst of the good times and the bad. So as Christians, how do we deal with life in this temporary home? How do we overcome and push through the trials of life while maintaining a right relationship with God?

This verse gives us our answer: walk in Him. Planted firm, dug deep, and established. Devoted and unshakable. Sometimes you just need to dip deep into God’s Word and hold fast to His truths. We need to know without a doubt what the Bible says in order to know how to live this beautiful, rough life. We need God’s word to nourish our hearts and minds and for the Spirit of God to pour out His power upon us. This is how we are live as women of God who are life-impacters and world-changers. My prayer for every one of you is to know God personally and intimately, to believe and be obedient to God’s word, and to make His name known on this earth.

Our desire is for you to be encouraged, challenged, strengthened, and grown through these posts and inspired to know Christ even more than you ever have before. Love you all so much!
