{Be Encouraged} November

Happy November, my wonderful blog friends! Cool air, apple pie, boots, scarves and a huge Thanksgiving meal all await us in this new month and I am SO excited about all of it!

It has become a habit of mine to take some time on the first day of each month and make a list of goals or plans that I want to accomplish in the coming days and weeks that fill the month. I really enjoy going into each month with a new sense of purpose and drive to get things done and see progress in my never ending “to-do” list! Sometimes I view the first day of the month like a huge restart button…there is no longer any reason to complain about the things that didn’t get done in the last month or make excuses, instead it is just time to start again right where I am.

As I was pondering my new goals and thinking about having a fresh start, I was once again amazed by the fact that God doesn’t make us wait for some magic date or restart for us to have a clean slate! Lamentations 3:22-23 says, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” How amazing is it that His mercy is new EVERY morning…not just on the first of the month or when everything is going well. We don’t even have to have everything checked off our to-do lists! His mercy and faithfulness never stop and are always being shown to us in new and extraordinary ways.

In this month of November may we be reminded every morning of the faithfulness of the Lord as we seek to better understand His word and truth! – Kristina
