Hiya! My name is Carlotta and I’m just another broken person make whole through Christ. I live in the great state of Oklahoma (yes, the wind comes sweeping down the plains, but no, it’s not flat where I live) and I’m trying to figure this whole life thing out. I have a restless soul and I can usually be found scribbling in a notebook, eating, or wandering around aimlessly contemplating the meaning of life.

Oh yeah, and taking pictures, too! Photography changes you, it truly does. It alters the way you look at the world in the most wonderful way. It’s magical, the way everything turns into art before your very eyes. 

These images are from a 50th anniversary vow renewal I shot a few weeks ago. In a short, simple ceremony at the minister’s house, John Ed and Jolene got married four days after he turned 18. He went back to work the next day. 50 years later, John Ed and Jolene’s son and daughter-in-law wanted to throw them the celebration they’d never had. It was so wonderful. I’m thankful for the opportunities my camera has given me that I never would’ve had otherwise! ♥
