When I buy gifts, I cannot just buy any gift. I am an over thinker by nature, and when it comes to gifting, it is no different. Mostly, is because I want it to be something with meaning to that person. And if I don’t know them that well, I still want it to be something special, something that will spark their interest and not end up in a drawer or in someone else’s hands.
Of course for me gifting foodie items is always a good idea, foodies will always appreciate receiving these, but non-foodies will as well after I include a little card as to the “why” behind the gift…
I’ve been wanting a
Hatchery Box subscription for the longest. Month after month I drool over their Instagram posts month and the goodies they meticulously curate for their customers. This little gift that keeps giving month after month is one I plan on giving myself this year.
There is just something about tea and girls. You know, little tea parties from very early on and all. Most of the time, tea is my go-to drink when I am with the girls getting into deep conversations of the soul… the aroma, the warming sensation, the soothing feeling. Yes, this
tea kit and girls mix well.
Turron de Alicante is a Spanish traditional sort of almond bark, that I grew up expecting to savor year after year. I love gifting these alongside with a nostalgic story on the side on how I would sit next to my grandfather and wait for him to break some for me to eat with a big and dangerous looking knife. Piece by piece, with just the cracking sound between us, we would finish a whole bar in one sitting.
I am so thankful I am not allergic nor intolerant to any kind of foods. These days I do not take that lightly, but I am also happy to see more and more cooking resources for those who do suffer from allergies and/or intolerances.
This book is beautiful and very resourceful for those who are gluten intolerant.
Personalized gifts are always a great idea, they for sure are meaningful and personal. But taking it to the next level and making it yourself… I am sure will make those recipients feel as warm as the chocolate they’ll be drinking off
these super cute personalized enamel mugs.
And talking about making yourself… food made by you, or half-made in this case, is also one that can show love and care. While gifts in jars is nothing new, I thought this
quick bread in a bottle was a little different.
While gifts for the kitchen are always fun, gifts for the soul can also win you some brownie points. Pun intended. These are some of my favorite soul nourishing gifts this year…
There is something so special about a gifted bible. Something about them saying “the bible that xy gave me” for the rest of their lives. So meaningful.
This bible is not only beautiful, but so practical as it includes space in the margin on each page for making notes.
I’ve read
this book four times already. Does not get old. It never will. One thousand gifts in one.
I already picked up a copy of the
Q&A For Kids for us to go through next year. I will pick a couple more for friends and their families, as we all make it a new year goal to get to know our kids better and record sweet memories.
This book, for the tough guys on your list. And the soft ones too.
Oh, who wouldn’t love to wear this little reminder .
Bonus: you can get all these gifts online and skip the driving, crowds, lines. Your gift to you.
gift guide posts are always some of my favorites.
love the items you shared!
