This week I wanted to take a break from the “regular” Be Styled posts (if there is such a thing), and feature some gorgeous pictures from a styled shoot I did over the summer. Remember the interview from two weeks ago with Melinda from Melinda Rose Design? This shoot was for her most recent bridal line, and it was so much fun collaborating with her and the photographer, Kathryn, from Atlas and Elia Photography. Melinda wanted a classic, chic, european-ish feel to the day, as the shoot was held at an estate high on a hill. We played with different styles of invites and colors before we formed a better vision for the look we wanted to create: soft colors throughout, with pops of black and gold. I loved the look of black and white stripes with the colors of the flowers, and the modern element they added. The shoot ended up having almost a Great Gatsby feel and look about it, and I think it turned out perfect, even amidst the rainy weather which stuck with us throughout most of the afternoon.
