Her Style: EMMA EYRE

1) Describe your personal style: are you more of a trendsetter, trend follower?

I would describe my personal style as simple, but unique. Minimalistic clothing is almost soothing to me, but I love the individuality factor that comes with wearing something eye-catching that wouldn’t necessarily fit into any “trend”. I try to avoid that word altogether, usually. I think that following trends can put pressure on me to look a certain way, instead of dressing in a way that truly makes me happy!

2) Favorite place to shop: this could be online or brick and morter.

I rarely go on large shopping trips, but when I do, I LOVE to shop at Loft! Their clothing tends to be pricier, so instead of buying lots of lower quality clothes from stores like Forever 21 or H&M, I buy fewer items and shell out a bit more for each one. It’s a principle of quality over quantity. Don’t get me wrong though, I love me some Target, too!

3) Describe what you’d wear for a day out exploring your favorite city.

I recently had a chance to visit a dear friend in Birmingham, Alabama, and I wore some ripped boyfriend jeans (American Eagle), a structured white turtleneck (Banana Republic), a grey wool trench coat, and washed canvas Converse high tops!

4) What is your favorite beauty product and why?

My favorite beauty product is probably Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Bronzer (in park avenue princess). My everyday look recently has been to skip the foundation and opt for moisturizer, a bit of bronzer to bring warmth to my skin, some brow powder, and mascara if I’m feeling fancy ;).

5) If you could give any style/beauty related advice to your peers, what would it be and why?

My little pice of advice is to just r o c k whatever you wear! I know it sounds cliche, but the key to pulling off something that’s a bit outside of your comfort zone is to have confidence!
