It happens to all of us. It’s happened to me about 20 times today. I sit down to do something and then a facebook notification pops up. From that one little notification I spiral out of control and 2 hours have gone by. I’ve caught up with people that I don’t really keep in touch with, read 10 billion blog posts, and liked 4 million instagram posts. Obviously, some of these numbers are a little overboard but it’s what happens. Sometimes, all the time, every day, every hour….we get distracted and procrastinate about the things we should really be accomplishing. If this doesn’t happen to you, please contact me and tell me your secrets. I MUST KNOW!
So what do you do to stop procrastinating and not be distracting every few minutes? Lately I’ve been using a new app called 30/30. It helps you countdown your to do list and gives you a timer.
Currently my list looks like this…
So in the morning this is my plan. So far it’s been working great. The list goes on but the screen shot was only so large. :) You can have multiple lists for different days or other stuff. I also have a planner and have been writing everything down.
Setting my priorities is what is helping also. I know that certain things MUST be complete and they come first. God, husband, home, family, photography, volunteer stuff, and so on. Figuring out what is most important to be has really helped. I can write my to do list and if certain things aren’t complete…they can be pushed to tomorrow. Being prepared is the number 1 thing that helps me not be distracted and procrastinate. How are you making sure to get things done?

I love the layout of your week-on-2-pages paper planner! Would you mind telling me what brand it is and/or where you purchased it? Thanks! :)
