{Be Successful} A Thankful Heart

It’s the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Are you tired of eating turkey leftovers yet? :) Did you score any great deals on Black Friday?

For all of you who have attempted to hold out until AFTER Thanksgiving to get into the Christmas spirit, congratulations. You can now press play on your favorite Christmas music, turn up the volume and start decorating!

This is my favorite time of year. The last of the leaves are falling from the trees, the air is crisp and cool and there is an atmosphere of expectation and excitement as we celebrate the season. On this last day of November 2013, I sit here amazed at the glory that has permeated  my life so far this year…and we still have one more month to go!

I am truly overwhelmed with gratitude for all that God has blessed me with.

I am thankful that I have never known life without God. I grew up with Godly parents who have always pointed me to Him. They made sure my foundation was set and I know that not everyone can say the same.

I have a wonderful husband who tries his hardest to understand my crazy artistic abstract self when it really is a foreign language to his concrete military-minded brain. :) He supports me 100% and is right there with me as we walk in faith toward all that God has called us to do.

As high maintenance and rotten as they can be at times (ok most times), I love my two little pug dog-children. I wouldn’t know what to do if my life was void of the always-present dog hair. (Pugs are known for their shedding…if only we could figure out a way to turn pug hair into a profitable business!) They keep me laughing with their comedic puggy personalities.

There are so many other things I could list, but I will end with what has been the most surprising blessing of all this year…this beautiful community of amazingness called Delight. There are no words in the English language to describe just how much of an impact you all have had on my life. It is such an honor and a privilege to be able to serve you. I never would’ve imagined that a ministry dedicated to teenaged girls could play such a huge role in my life…but now I can’t imagine living without it!
