I’m a Minneapolis (MN) senior + wedding photographer.

Tell us a bit about this session! This session was a meet-up/collaboration with a friend of a friend (through a Delight girl actually!). I had no expectations for the shoot, I just went into it open for the experience, and it turned out to be one of my favorite shoots I’ve done in a long time!

Did this session challenge you? As you can see, the first half was shot completely indoors. I. Was. Terrified. I will always be known to say ‘I shoot outdoors ONLY’, so when I showed up to the location, I was thrown for a loop! Turns out, studio shooting is now one of my favorite things to do and my aim is to buy a natural light studio one day

What gear was used? Nikon d700, 50mm 1.4, 35mm 1.4, plastic bag

How does your relationship with jesus effect your work? My relationship with the Lord affects how I see people. Instead of going into a shoot thinking ‘how do they look, how am I going to make them pretty, ect’ I instead go in with ‘how does the Lord see them?’ Let me tell you, that changes how I see people! It gives me a whole new perspective on how truly beautiful each person I get to work with is! Instead of trying to hide the flaws, I look for all the unique features a person has and try to bring those out
