With record breaking heat across the nation I thought I’d mix it up by sharing this icy photo shoot to cool ya down ;)
Rachel is so insanely talented and this edgy & urban shoot is bound to inspire you at your next photo session! Here is more from the artist herself:

Name/business name: Rachel Burkhart / Rachel Burkhart Photography
Something short and sweet about you: I’m a cat lady who lives in Florida. I’m probably on the younger side of that demographic.
About this session: I’d been wanting to shoot with my friend Bridget and her husband, Jamey for a while. I love their colorful style and how sweet they are in front of the camera!
Did this session challenge you? I’ve found that when I’m shooting for fun it’s typically a little more challenging. Bridget and Jamey gave me full creative control which included making them trek out into some half-melted patches of ice. They were troopers, though! I do feel like this shoot challenged me but I’m so happy with the results!
What gear was used: Canon 5d Mark iii and canon 35mm 1.4
Why photography: I’m not sure I can fully explain this in a short answer, but here’s a bit of the “why”: Photography has brought out a sense of confidence that I never imagined I’d have. There’s something really awesome about getting to do what you know you were made to do. I love getting to interact with so many different people and being able to capture important memories for them.
How does your relationship with Jesus effect your work? Knowing that He has given me countless opportunities to do what I love and to work with amazing people has shown me that I can trust Him completely with my business. It allows me to have the belief that everything will work out in the end and keeps me from worrying too much about becoming a starving artist.
