Hannah Nicole {Be Featured with Haley}

I’m Hannah Nicole. I love wide open skies with morning coffee brewed black, laugh lines and freckles, and the light come evening. I believe in red lipstick for every girl, eating good food, and adventuring. I dream of having a VW bus, spending summers in a tiny cabin with my man and littles, and living in New Zealand. And I tell honest stories through photos and words. Black and white photos, film, and good poetry make my heart sing. I’m an INFJ and love personality tests, and the only music that calmed me down as a baby was Van Morrison (so that should tell you everything you need to know about me). Family vacations, picking apples at my grandparents, and singing at the piano change me. I cry everytime I read The Book Thief or The History of Love, and I have a travel list a mile long. My favorite scent is the smell of my home after a vacation and I was a ballet dancer in a Vaganova studio for eight years. I need grace, a piano to play, and fresh fruit. I’ve lived in far too many houses and left my heart in so many places, but give me a wide open sky and trees as far as the eye can see and I’ll be good. I wish people took more walks, gatherings with friends were an everyday occurrence, and pie was acceptable breakfast food.

My parents (and grandparents) are the ones who encouraged me to pursue photography, They have always been fully behind me in everything I’ve done business wise as well as creative wise, which has been such a huge blessing to me. I started blogging back in 2007 (on homeschoolblogger…anyone remember that site?) and after making a “real” blog, I started taking pictures. Because everyone knows that a post without a picture just isn’t right. That led to finding photographers I loved who I started following…saving for a camera…shooting for people…and realizing that I love this beautiful and precious job of taking photos and not only that but…I could do it.
