Oh you guys!! I’m not a huge sweet tooth, but there is a very slim chance that you will ever see me pass up a piping hot mug of hot chocolate with whip cream. Marshmallows I can pass up any day, but frothy whip cream and some crushed candy canes, and I’m a goner. That’s why I’m sharing with you this morning a hot chocolate bar that I got asked to set up for a Christmas Jazz party just last night!
It didn’t cost more than a morning’s worth of tips at a coffee stand, and it’s bound to have a line of people waiting to get their chocolate fix! And if you ask my husband, he’d tell you there actually was a line for the hot cocoa bar last night! That means it was a hit, right? :) String a few Christmas lights through it and you have a romantic, fun, cute, basically all the adjectives hot chocolate bar. Time to invite all your friends over, pop some candy canes into a bowl, pour some hot chocolate powder into a bowl, put out a few bottles of caramel sauce for drizzle, a sea salt grinder for those who favor salted caramel, some mini chocolate chips from your baking drawer, and a jar full of marshmallows. The best part? Grab any fun winter scarf from your closet and use that as a base! For height, you can use baskets or an old apple crate and you have yourself a what-looks-like-it-took-hours hot chocolate bar, that really only took a few minutes! <3
Happy December, and Merry Christmas, friends! I’m off to cut down the perfect Christmas tree…stay tuned!
Xoxo,
Emily
