Lively& Cheerful Engagement Photography inspiration

Slow dancing, piggy back rides, forehead kisses.. this feature has it all. And the location?! To die for, but maybe thats a personal dream of mine to shoot at a tree farm with an adorable couple. The whole time I was preparing this post to share with you guys I couldn’t help but think what an awesome gift photography is. I mean, what AWESOME photos this couple now has of such a sweet season of life together. Erin, their kids are gonna be thanking you one day!  I have a few photos of my parents being playful while they were young and dating  but now a days, photography is a bit more conventional but it should never be taken for granted. These images are just absolute treasures and I’m excited to share them with you! Grab a cup of coffee and turn on your happy and gushy love playlist. This session is just too cute! Something short and sweet about you: I am a Wedding + Portrait Photographer in the beautiful Bluegrass State! Jesus, cozy blankets, and anything vanilla-scented are a few of my favorite things. ;)

About this session: Rachel is a lovely friend, who happens to be a fellow Delight girl! She came to me in hopes of getting updated headshots for her blog as well as some sweet pictures of her and her boyfriend, Isaac. Of course, I was totally up for the idea. We decided on going to a local Christmas tree farm for the shoot.  It was JUST as beautiful as we had all imagined.

Did this session challenge you?
Barely! Rachel and Isaac were complete naturals in front of the camera. The only thing that was a little difficult was focusing my camera while backlighting, but this really challenged me to find different angles where the light worked better.

What gear was used: Canon Rebel T4i + 50mm 1.8.

Why photography:  Why not? ;) I love the way I can play with light, settings, and subjects to make each photo uniquely beautiful. My favorite part of photography is the love, joy, and hope that you can capture in a moment. Every moment in life is fleeting, but you can preserve those emotions forever with beautiful photos.
How does your relationship with Jesus affect your work?
Christ affects every aspect of my work! There is a light in people that only He can bring. My hope is that Christ’s light and joy will be showcased in each of my photos.
