My name is Moriah Elisabeth Sutton, I come from a family of 9, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. I’m 17 years-old, and a Home-schooled Florida girl. I’m a lover of: Jesus. Family. Friends. The beach. Apple products. Starbucks. Clothes. Shoes. Chick-fil-a. Country music. Sunsets. Chocolate covered strawberries. Capturing pictures that make you smile, laugh, and maybe even cry…and I could go on with this list. But I wont. ;)
I guess I first got started in photography when I was 13, I had been wanting a camera for a really long time, and was finally given a little adorable pink camera for my birthday. It was fun to use and I took pictures of everything, until it broke a few months later. So my 14th birthday rolled around and of course, I wanted a new camera. I was given a pretty nice fujifilm camera, and again, I took pictures of everything and anything. Over the year I realized the love I had for taking pictures and I knew I could only do so much with that little camera, so for my 15th birthday I decided to save my money and buy a Nikon D3000. It was a great camera and really got me started with photography, but of course it was nothing super fancy. Well, my 16th birthday now rolled around and little did I know what a huge blessing I would receive from awesome wedding photographers and great friends, April and Paul (http://aprilandpaul.com/) They had given me their NikonD90 and a 50mm lens! The first picture I took with that camera, I knew I was a little in love. ;) Not only did I love that camera, but I was honored that someone would believe in me and my work enough to bless me with a great camera to help me start my business…Its been almost 2 years since I got that camera and its been nothing short of awesome. By having this camera its taught me how to learn and see the real art in photography. Its taught me that taking pictures is soo much more than just pressing a button.
It was really hard to pick a favorite shoot. But, if I had to pick one of my favorite shoots, it would be of Corey and Abigail, they were so amazing to photograph, not only were they fun, they were complete and total naturals when it came to posing. My favorite thing of all when I photographed them was the pure love they had for each other, it showed so much in every photo. This shoot is definitely the reason why I absolutely now love photographing couples..because its real, there is no faking when it comes to photographing a love between two people. I cant wait for when I can specialize in couples & wedding photography, till then I enjoy being able to capture the lives of all my amazing clients.
