Happy Tuesday, Ladies!!
I’d like you to meet the sweet Emily Boyd and her knitted goods shop, Goldberry Artisans.
I have been creating for as long as I can remember, and I learned how to knit at age 10. A few years after that, many people told me that I should sell my knitting projects, and in January of this year, I finally took their advice and started my Etsy shop! The name, Goldberry Artisans, comes from a place in Scotland called Goldberry Hill where my ancestors fought to protect their homeland from invaders. I like the think that, in my own little way, I am helping to fight against the world of consumerism and cheap, machine-made items while expressing my creativity.
For me, inspiration comes mainly in the form of color. The vivid hues of autumn leaves, the multitude of shades in my yarn stash, color combinations in cute outfits, and spring gardens all inspire me as I choose colors and patterns for my shop. My creative juices really flow when I am sitting in my room, curled up with tea and a good book or movie, with all the time in the world to let my ideas flow through my fingers into finished products.
Just in time for cold weather and the Holidays, Emily is giving away one a beautiful deep red headbands to one of you!
