{Be Successful} Bubble Bath Marketing
If you’ve known me for any period of time you’re probably familiar with my deep love of bubble baths. God displayed His true love for me on the day we walked into the house that would become our first. I looked into the master bathroom and found a large jetted corner tub. Light shone from above…angels sang…doves flew. It was supernatural. Ok maybe it was kinda supernatural and light shone from above but that’s because there’s also a sky light in there. Moving on…
I consider the tub as my second office. It’s where I often go for prayer, inspiration, and to plot my course toward world domination. (I also can neither confirm nor deny that I’ve actually sat in it while empty just so I could think clearer.) So this week as I was needing inspiration for blog post topics, I went to my old faithful. And it didn’t disappoint.
This time inspiration came in a more concrete way then usual: the bubble bath bottle. As I was pouring in some of my favorite white tea and jasmine I noticed this new bottle had different writing on the back of it. I still had the old bottle so I picked it up to compare and instantly had my light bulb moment for this post.

‘Mountains of bubbles’ on the old bottle is nice but I’d much rather ‘wrap myself in luxurious silky bubbles’ and ‘invite the fresh outdoors inside’ with ‘morning dew intertwined with bright marigold notes’ that will leave my mind ‘floating on a cloud’. Wouldn’t you?
It’s the exact same product but the wording on the new bottle is much more inviting. It illustrates a picture and speaks to your senses. In a world where there are 10 different options for bubble bath on the shelf (or photographers in a city, etc) you have to stand out. Thanks to high speed internet and other technological advances, we have a ‘microwave society’ where instant gratification is easily accessible. It’s just the nature of the beast when it comes to marketing your business and attracting new clients – you have a very short period of time to grab their attention and draw them in.
What are some ways you can jazz up your marketing? Maybe sit down with a friend and bounce ideas off each other. Pick a basic phrase and come up with creative ways the same information can be expressed. It will set you apart from everyone else and give people a glimpse into your unique characteristics!
Here are pics of the bottles side by side. The differences are subtle but are definitely noticeable. In addition to the wording, they’ve changed the shape of the bottle to be a little more feminine and also changed the color from solid white to ‘milky’ white and see-through. The milky-ness mirrors the fact that it’s milk bath.
