{Be Devoted} It’s Your Turn!

The winter months can be very lonesome in some cases. I know for me, living on the east coast of the States, many stay cooped up in their homes until the spring months roll around. I have been thinking to myself lately, “What can we do to make things a bit more…well, lively?” I thought about it some more, and decided to make a little list of possible mini-events that you could host in your own home…or even town! Community is such an important aspect to my life, and when we include people who are around us in our lives, it makes for a very special occasion. So, here are a few creative and fun ideas for you! If you have any more ideas, please share in your comments!

1. Host a house concert (it doesn’t have to be big…just invite a few of your musically-talented friends over, and a small audience!)

2. Host a cook-off! (Have everyone bring their favorite dishes and enjoy laughter and stories together around the table!)

3. Host a Tea Party! (I have done this in the past, and it is quite fun. You really can go all out on this, or you can keep it really simple!)

Not only can you host an event, but I would encourage you to take a day off to get together with a friend or friends and just go out for coffee. You could even make this a weekly or monthly activity.
