I am a seventeen-year-old Northwestern country girl who loves laughter and life in general. I live in Oregon with my family of six, and besides photography I love to sing, play the piano, run, swim, and write. I am a senior in homeschooled high school and am a potential English major.
What inspires me…
Pinterest. ;) Just kidding (though actually…). I am inspired by so many things—God’s beautiful creation, for one. Willowy trees, golden fields, wildflowers blowing in the wind, mountains in all of their majesty—but also, the simple things. Baby feet, kitten noses, my sister’s floppy hat, shadows on the barn floor, and people laughing and whipping their hair back and forth. Inspiration is kind of an “aha moment” for me, though; as in, it comes and goes. It isn’t just one specific thing or clause of items that inspire me, it has to be the right time and the right place for ideas to flow (which is kind of no fun, but hey, there is such a thing as photographer’s block, right? That happens to me a lot).
How I came up with this photo shoot, it was pretty much a whim. As I said, inspiration for me comes and goes at random. I was sitting and doing my schoolwork one day, and I looked outside and saw all the pretty yellow and green leaves on the trees, and a few ideas came to me. I grabbed my sister, who is my ever-faithful model, dragged her (quite literally, though she is compiling most of the time) to a clump of trees, and just started shooting.

Beautifully done, Lucia :) my favorite is the double-exposure, I do believe! I get you in the area of inspiration. Random things inspire at me random times. I did the same exact thing with my sister – only, it was winter!
Sooo thankful our paths crossed through blogging years ago, Lucia. You are so uber talented. So inspired by you. Keep on doing what you’re doing and sharing your gift with others. :)
