Meet Ali Brannan
Tell us a little bit about yourself. I am a mom to a beautiful 11 month old little girl. Garrett and I have been together for just over 4 years. I am a shoe collector, and most of all I love Jesus :)
Where is home? Born & raised in Denver, Colorado. We absolutely love it here, this is our forever home.
If you could have lunch with one person who would be. If I could have lunch with one person it would definitely be my mother, my biggest supporter, and the person who always keeps me going.
What are five words friends would use to describe you. Words that friends would use to describe me would be adventurous, thoughtful, loving, passionate & dreamer.
Where do you see yourself five years from now? Five years from now I hope to be photographing weddings all around the world, have an office I can escape to out of the house, and I would absolutely love to go on my first mission trip.
If you had to choose one lens, which one would it be? If I had to choose one lens it would be my Nikon 85mm 1.4. It is such a GORGEOUS portrait lens, and it rarely leaves my camera.
What’s in your camera bag? In my camera bag I have my D700, 85mm 1.4, 50mm 1.4, 105mm 2.8, 70-200mm 2.8 & a SB900 Flash
How long have you been doing photography? I picked up my first camera in 2007 and Garrett & I started our business in 2009.
What type of photography do you focus on? We only shoot weddings :)
Did you go to photography school? I did not go to school for photography, but instead I learned from some of the best in the industry, working with them, and learning from them.
What advice would you give to your 15 year old self? I would tell my 15 year old self to do what I love, I wasted so many years trying to figure out what I should do instead of what would make me happy.
How does your relationship with God affect the way you do business? God is such a huge part of our business, our mission is to serve God first and our business second.
Favorite verse? My favorite verse is Matthew 6: 25-34
How would you describe your style? My style is timeless and romantic. We want to see the love between all of our couples come out through our images, and we want them to cherish these images for years to come.
Who or what is the greatest love of your life. Garrett & Baby T for sure. These two have taught me more about myself than I ever thought was possible.
Who has been the most influential person in your life? My parents are such amazing people. They have taught me what a everlasting marriage is supposed to look like, they have taught me to be a hard worker and never give up.
If you could shoot with another photographer, who would it be? If I could shoot with another photographer, it would be Ryan Ray. His work is absolutely amazing, and I would love to see him in action.
Where do you find your inspiration? My inspiration comes from fashion magazines, photographers whom I admire and Garrett (he always pushes me to be inspired).
If you could choose one person to photograph, who would it be? My grandfather, he was the one who gave me my love for photography. If he was still here I would love to photograph him and completely blow him away.
