She is not only an incredible musician with the voice of an angel, but also an incredible photographer. Take a few minutes & get to know Cami! I know she will be an inspiration to you!

Where is home?
I currently live in Spokane Wa and absolutely love it. My husband and I live in a quaint little house that we built with our own hands about 7 years ago.

A website/blog you frequently visit:
Hmmmm this is tough. If I were to be honest…it would be pinterest…which is probably not the point of this question. But that’s reality. Besides that, I am inspired by countless photographers, graphic designers and even random places like facebook. To name only one would be a crime!

What are five words friends would use to describe you?
I’ve always hated this question…because I sure hope people view me the way I feel inside, but am not always the best version of myself! It probably depends on the day. I had to ask for some outside help on this one. Here’s what my family and friends say…

-Creative
-Genuine
-Fun
-Stubborn
-Influential

I agree with most these. Especially the stubborn one.

If you could have lunch with one person, who would it be and why?
My people. Meaning…my husband, parents or closest friends. I know that’s not within the rules of the question, but it’s true. Let me explain! In a life where I am constantly meeting new people, expected to be social and outgoing, forced to talk myself up and always look put together…my people are my safety. I don’t even have to talk if I don’t want to. I can cry, I can be myself, I can look ugly or I can just spend hours laughing with them. There is no single human in the past, present or future that I would rather be with then that handful of people I am already blessed to have in my life.

If you had to choose one lens, which one would it be?
Canon 50mm 1.2 Wouldn’t want to shoot without it.

What’s in your camera bag?
I shoot with a Canon Mark III and adore it
Lenses: 50mm 1.2, 85mm 1.2, 35mm 1.4, 45mm 2.8, 100mm 2.8 macro
Also an assortment of flashes, gadgets and gizmos

How long have you been doing photography?
About 4 years

What type of photography do you focus on?
I LOVE weddings and couples. I do a handful of seniors and families as well. But my favorite thing to do is couples in any fashion.

What advice would you give to your 15 year old self?
Be confident. The world is full of quirky, weird, creative and not put together people. You don’t have to be perfect and you don’t have to have things figured out to be confident. Be confident in the gifts God gave you, have fun while using them and don’t let anyone stop you.

How does your relationship with God affect the way you do business?
It’s a HUGE part of my business. People come first. My relationship with Jesus leaks into everything because I care about the people He cares for.

Favorite bible verse?
Hmmm this is tough. Every season brings a new favorite. I’m terrible at memorizing (anything not just verses)…so often times the ones I come back to are the ones I’ve had memorized for years. In my line of work (photography & music) nothing is for sure. Clients change, money influxes and timelines are never as you planned. So the verse that holds me back from stressing about all that is Philippians 4:6-7. That’s my favorite today.

How would you describe your style?
Photography style? Real & Clean. Real in that I aspire to capture people in a way that is genuine and honest. Do I pose…of course…but candids are even better. Clean in that my editing and shooting style uses light tones and clean lines to capture those real moments.

Personal style? Random. There is no right answer for clothes or hair. If I feel pretty in it…I rock it whether you like how it looks or you don’t.

Who has been the most influential person in your life?
There are two and they are my parents. I wish I could understand how they parented me in a way that made me who I am. I would bottle it up and sell it for a lot of money :). They gave me confidence while teaching me humility. That taught me how to care for others while still caring for myself. They showed me how to be in a relationship and love my husband by living that example out in their own marriage. They have supported every choice I’ve made while still guiding my decisions. It’s craziness…they helped make me who I am today but somehow I made all my own choices to get there.

Who or what is the greatest love of your life?
Jesus is ultimately the answer to this question. And I mean it when I say He is. Hands down. But in saying that, Jesus gifted me with a physical being that taught me what loving a human on a deep and personal level looks like. The two go hand in hand. My husband is the greatest gift God has given me to date. That wonderful husband of mine (Eric) also loves Jesus and points me to Him. My love for the Lord is strengthened by the way I love my husband, and the love for my husband is only possible through Jesus!

Where do you find your inspiration?
Everywhere. I’m not kidding. I sat down today after a photo shoot the other day and I was inspired by my cat who was lounging with just the tips of his ears soaked in some light leaking through the window of our home. I am inspired walking through shops like Anthroplogie or Urban Outfitters. I am inspired by music I hear and write. I am inspired by images from Instagram that weren’t even meant to be art. I am inspired by peoples emotions. I am inspired by the dramatic shifts we feel and see in those around us. The deep sorrow and the great joys. I am inspired by LIFE.

If you could choose one person to photograph, who would it be?
I’m breaking the rules of every question asked…apparently one of my “descriptive words” should have been DEFIANT. Here’s the truth, every day it changes. I love the story behind the photograph. You don’t have to be a model or know what you’re doing for me to want to photograph you. This past summer I photographed a lady who emailed asking me to photograph her and her mother’s bicycle. A strange request to some. Her mother had passed away and she wanted to use that bike as a representation of her mom. She intended to finally get rid of the bike (since it was old and served no purpose), but didn’t want to do that until she had something physical to honor and remember her mom by. I want to photograph that person. That person makes my heart beat and my creativity stir.
