Meet Micaela Hall, “Young Creatives” Leader!
Hello, all! I’m Micaela Grace – a southern girl with a heart for Jesus and photography. (and lots of other things, but we’re just getting started.)
A little bit about me! I am the face behind the “Young Creatives” section of the blog! Or should I say the face behind the faces, since this section is about getting to know YOU! Delight is about community and support and encouraging each other in our art as well as our day to day lives and walk with Christ. I’m here because we want to get to know your hearts, too!
On a more personal note, I’m the green-eyed oldest child from a family of 9. Yes, 9. I have 6 younger siblings – two brothers and four sisters. They’re goofy and ridiculous and wonderful. Not pictured is our basset hound, Charlotte, who completely lives up to the ideal of being the droopiest dog around.
I was born and raised in Georgia. I’ve moved 12 times – no, no military background – but i’ve never lived outside of the South. I have a huge love for travel, and have been blessed to be able to fly to multiple states of the past year and a half, and I hope to continue visiting new places in the future!
Some of my favorite things include ballroom dancing, the French language, vanilla lattes and curling up by a fire. I love to read, but struggle to find the time these days. (Adult life, you guys).
Grace is my middle name, and it’s also my favorite word as I come to understand more and more how much God actually gives me on a daily basis. It’s far more than I ever will deserve.
I am a wedding photographer, which is something I always thought sounded wonderful but never *actually* thought was a possibility. My first wedding was completely unplanned and I loved it. So much more than just taking pretty pictures – I got to walk through one of the most important days of life for these people, and it was so special. I love the opportunity to invest in others, and that’s one reason I love photography so much! It’s getting to know hearts! My vision for my work is that it would be a means for me to love others well, and glorify Jesus in the process.
I’ve been involved with Delight on some level for the past three years and it has blessed me SO MUCH more than I knew it would. I’ve learned and been encouraged in my work and my faith and I’m honored to be able to help you all encourage each other! So, dive in and ask me anything!
