I love to write letters. Using the old-fashioned snail mail ways of course.
There is something personal and meaningful about writing and receiving a letter from a friend.
I’m able to put my heart out on paper through words, in ways I would not be able to verbally portray.
Now, I am writing you a letter today. Though this one is not on paper, I do hope that you will hear this letter out.
I have been learning a lot about what it means to live fully where God has placed both you and I. For me, He has given
me some new understanding that I want to share with you. So, here it my letter.
Open, and receive.
Dear Friend,
You are handmade by God, both physically and spiritually.
You are unique.
You are one of a kind.
When you see other fellow believers around you, I pray that you will see Christ and what He is doing through them.
My prayer is that you will not compare yourself to them, but that you will guard your hearts from developing a spirit of comparison, pride, and jealousy.
You are what you are by the grace of God.
He has redeemed you.
You are His creation.
The world has tried to put a mold on you.
It tends to put unnecessary expectations on you,
but when God bought you, He threw out that mold.
You are new and extraordinary.
Comparison always results in one of two mindsets: pride and shame.
You are God’s work of art, uniquely and specially designed to fulfill a distinct mission that He has planned for you.
You are SO loved.
